History and Formation

AASC emerged from informal gatherings of Arab American cardiologists at major conferences. It “all began with the annual ACC dinners at #ACC2023 and #ACC2024,” where Arab heritage cardiovascular specialists convened sociallyinstalker.org. These meet-ups revealed a strong desire for a more structured community, leading to the official launch of the Arab American Society of Cardiology in mid-2024. The society quickly gained momentum – by late 2024 AASC had grown to over 200 physician members in its networkinstalker.org. Early organizers of AASC included prominent cardiologists and fellows who recognized the potential of uniting their peers.

AASC held its first inaugural meeting during the American College of Cardiology’s 2025 Scientific Session (ACC.25 in Chicago). This milestone event was a formal dinner and networking session that brought together a large contingent of Arab American cardiovascular professionals. Over 120 cardiologists and fellows attended the inaugural AASC meeting at ACC.25, making it a proud moment of community unityinstalker.org. The gathering was not only a social success but also highlighted the academic strength of the group – AASC members contributed 75+ research posters and presentations at the ACC.25 conferenceinstalker.org, showcasing the community’s impact in cardiovascular research. This inaugural meeting, described by participants as “a moment of pride, power, and purpose,” laid the foundation for AASC’s ongoing activities and “legacy of excellence in cardiovascular care”instalker.org.
